Painting Predicament

As I mentioned in my previous post, Emma will soon be moving out of her shared bedroom into her own room. I was so inspired by this website. Fun right! This kids' room (the 4th one)specifically! I LOVE everything about it...the paint treatment, the bed, the fabric!!!! Love it, love it, love it!!!! Emma has selected her fabrics...not my first choice, but she loved it! And she would like the main color in her room to be blue...I am thinking more of an aqua...Mermaid Tear to be exact! I am going to attempt to recreate the headboard myself, I have the materials and the tools, it is the skill I am lacking! But, what the heck, what do I have to lose? Here is where the painting predicament comes in to play. I am a bit of a paint snob. I ONLY ever use a specific brand which is local to the Philadelphia region. And there is a shop just a few mile away from my home. I have bought paint there for every room in my house and two beach houses. I bring my friends there when I am helping with paint colors and fabric. I am there so often they give me a contractors discount. I know everyone that works there, I know their name and they know my name and my kids names. The manager, Kerry, is always mixing custom colors for me. The best part is that it is so close so when I get the itch to paint I hop in the car and go! So imagine my surprise when I drive by and see a HUGE for rent sign in the window! After some investigation, I learned they are gone and the closest store is 20 miles from my house. That will not work and Kerry, where is she? So my question is...can anyone out there recommend a paint brand?

If you go over to Cottage Bethy's blog, she has the most beautiful paint colors in her house. She orders them but I can't remember the name of the company. You may want to check with her.

I have always found Sherwin Williams and Behr (Home Depot)to be really reliable paint.

By the way, I'm not sure where you're located otside of Phila., but we moved to Charlotte, NC the Bryn Mawr/Berwyn area and used to go to Stone Harbor, NJ all the time.

Sherwin Williams. We always use that. A lot of the Pottery Barn colors come from there.

SHERWIN WILLIAMS. My Uncle-in-law is a designer/artist/builder in Carmel, CA He tells me this is the only paint I should be using. Just my 2 cents! :)

Sunny's site is a great reference for lots of ideas. Her site helped me decorate my dining room.
Best of luck!

Benjamin Moore eggshell finish. Once you try it, you won't go back. It's delightful. :-)
