New Powder Room

I did a quick "makeover" to our powder room. I was inspired by the fabric I used for the curtain.

Before...

Ruby red walls with black, white, and silver accents. The pictures don't do it justice..

After...

Bright sunny yellow walls with blue and green accents. The curtain fabric was a remnant for $10, beautiful silk horizontal stripe, I lined it with a coordinating sage silk. The mirror was a curbside find. It has been in storage for a few years and I had totally forgotten about it. I did a first coat of green then mixed some white and off white for a second coat. Sanded it down...turned out better than I thought! The shelves over the potty are temporary until I find something bigger, but, for now they do the trick!

Looks great! I love sunny and cheery powder rooms. Love what you did with the mirror, too.

Ooh, that puts me in the mood to redecorate!!! What is the color of yellow on your walls? I am thinking about repainting our kitchen after the wedding. Yellow is such a hard color to find. Looks great!

Sarah...the color os called September Leaf. I buy all my paint from a local (Philadelphia) paint company.
Yellow is hard...my kitchen was yellow until a year ago, but it took me 4 shades of yellow to find the right one.
I am happy to drop the paint swatch in th email to you to have a color match done...just email me your address!

Great curbside find! Our subdivision had a garage sale a few weekends back. Low and behold on the following trash pickup day, I saw a few cars slowly driving by the end of the driveways on our cul-de-sac gandering at the stashes for disposal.

I guess I thought that everyone was throwing out junk like me. But your mirror has inspired me to hit some high end neighbors on trash day! Maybe I'll be so lucky...

P.S. I'll be the one wearing camos and a hat.
