Opinion

Do you use a mineral make up? I have been using Bobbi Brown forever. I love Bobbi Brown but, one of my friends started to use Bare Minerals and she looks fantastic. What is your opinion? Will it work for a fair skin freckle faced girl?

OMG! Bare Minerals are life changing- you should definitely try it. I could never go back to regular make-up after using it!

I just started using it this summer (always used Laura Mercier)and I think it holds up much better in this Florida heat & humidity. Still getting use to it, but I *think* it's a winner.
I alos posted about BareM recently on my blog ;)

I am no good at putting it on. They showed me how at the store but still... at home I never get good results so I still use my regular tinted moisturizer. I think it probably takes practice, especially the bronzer, which left me looking like I had dirt on my face! =)

I've been using Bare Minerals for about six months and it is wonderful. It covers ALL sorts of sins. The foundation and mineral veil are awesome.

I am a fair skinned, freckle-faced girl myself, and Bare Minerals works well for me. You definitely need to do a little trial and error when you first get it though. I agree that the "warmth" bronzer can leave you looking like you have dirt on your face. You have to use the smallest amount of it. After you get the hang of it, Bare Minerals is amazing!

I love Bare Minerals. I would have a hard time going back to other cosmetics.

I use Jane Iredale mineral powder (loose and pressed) per my dermatologist and the fact that Bare Minerals doesn't have a color to match my skin. I like it but you do have to be careful around fine lines with mineral makeup because it can settle and make them even more noticeable/pronounced. Perhaps you are lucky enough not to have those yet! :) Also, if you have any facial hair (fuzz) it's MUCH more noticeable with minerals. I only use cream concealer around the eyes and still use my Bobbi Brown foundation stick with brush for more coverage when I want that look. Good luck.

I love Bare Minerals. I too was a skeptic since I have pale skin. The lady at Sephora picked out a color for me which I thought would be too orange. She assured me this would work, and it did. I also thought that those little containers would not last very long. But they do, you don't need much. I second the comment about the Florida heat & humidity, it does stand up. Best of all it doesn't feel sticky. That's the last thing you need in Florida.

I use Everyday Minerals. They have a ton more color options than Bare Minerals, plus Bare Minerals makes my face itch. And EM is a lot less expensive. But brands aside, I love mineral makeup. Could never go back to liquid.

Bare Minerals has something in it that makes a lot of people's faces itch...I was one of those people. It's not an intense itch, but enough to irritate you. I love Everyday Minerals (you can get three different free samples off the website) and believe it or not...Physicians Formula (target) makes a GREAT loose mineral powder.
