The Revamped Lamp

Before Remove fabric from shade. Being careful to not rip the fabric too much and not bend the shade frame. Use the removed fabric as a pattern, I cut generously to allow for error. Pin to fit fabric to form. Lightly mark the seams with a pencil. Sew seams along the pencil markings. Slip the fabric over the wire frame, position for gluing. Pull gently(and evenly)hot glue all the way around the top, repeat on the bottom Add matching ribbon around the bottom for a finished look. Viola! In all its shining glory! Note: I chose not to line this shade, but it could be done quite easily.

I know that you have stopped using this blog but hopefully you still receive comments...I love this tutorial and saved it in my favorites knowing it would come in handy some day! I am ready to give it a go but would like to line it...would you go about the same process for that? I can't wrap my brain around how I would make it fit, sew it the same size as the fabric for the outside? If you could offer any advice I'd love it!! Thanks so much! Kimberly
