Last night the girls were banking on a snow day today, negotiating a later bedtime, making plans for a "snow day breakfast" and sledding. And I was secretly wishing for a snow day, too. If you have been following me for any length of time you know that I am not a fan of snow or cold. But, I haven't had a snow day with the girls this year. I was looking forward to the ritual of a snow day.
Well, they got their wish...SNOW and lots of it. It started around 8:00PM and it is still going strong at 10:30AM. Our house rule is that you can't go out in the snow until it stops falling, not always enforced, but,today it will be, it is FREEZING.
Our ritual....french toast and bacon for breakfast, stay in our pajamas, movies, popcorn, hot cocoa, games...and I am going to sew a bit too!

I'm not a fan of snow or cold either.. I would move down south where it doesn't snow if the family would go with me. lol
We always have chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast on snow days. And for lunch, they have chili buns and hot chocolate after coming in from playing. But today, there won't be any playing outside...All my guys are sick (again!!).
Sigh
It is cold outside...Buddy came in quickly which is unheard of from him.
We've done lots of baking, drawing, movies, and I'm ready for bed already!
Sounds like a perfect day! We don't get snow days here... if we did, nobody would do anything or go anywhere between December and April!
Well ...I hate to remind you, we don't have snow days in Florida ;)
Your doggie looks like he wants to get out in that snow!
