Postal

Yesterday, I came out of my studio just to go to the market and post office. I have been sewing nonstop since Thanksgiving. This is going to be a daily event for the next two weeks. I am hoping to have all my custom orders finished and shipped by December 10th...keeping my fingers crossed!

I have one more custom party and one more trunk show this week and then I am finished until after the new year!

This year I am really look forward to the Holidays. The past few years we have taken a family trip at the beginning of December...the pressure to have EVERYTHING, decorating, shopping, sewing, etc... finished before our trip made for one unpleasant Heather! So this year, I am so laid back and I think I will actually enjoy all the preparations for Christmas. I have started decorating...here is a sneak peak at one of my favorite holiday decorating projects!

I'll use these outside in the window boxes with some greens. I'll be sure to post a picture of the finished product!

So what is your favorite holiday decorating trick?

I love seeing photos of your projects! It must have felt so good to get all those packages out and on their merry way.

Oh my goodness, all the clerks at the post office must know you by name!

The trick with the gourds is so smart! I don't have a favorite holiday decorating trick, last year I strung my own garlands and I WON'T be doing that again. For framed photos that hang on our walls, I do like to take a few little bits of holly and tuck them behind the top corners. :)

The gourds look great! I can't wait to see the finished project.

My favorite holiday decorating thing is the xmas tree I put up in our family room. I put white lights on it and then I have taken pics from my entire life as well as my husbands entire life and copied/shrunk them into black and white pics. I then cut them out and have glued them to red and green paper with ribbon and hang them all over the tree. It is my photo memory tree and every year I add a few new pictures.

I hope the last few weeks before Christmas you can "relax"!

Love the idea!

I don't have any tricks but I do always but candles in the window and keep "Christmas in the air" on the stove for that Christmas smell!
